Vancouver Port has officially kicked off the bidding process for its long-awaited Roberts Bank Terminal 2 (RBT2) project — a CA$3 billion (US$2.2 billion) expansion set to boost cargo capacity by a whopping 70%!

Once completed, RBT2 will handle an extra 2.4 million TEUs per year, taking the port’s total capacity from 3.5 million to nearly 6 million TEUs.

The project is part of Canada’s national infrastructure push, aligned with Prime Minister Mark Carney’s vision of strengthening the country’s economic sovereignty.
